What I bring

Where my experience fits

Duties common to marketing and creative leadership roles, paired with where I have done each one.

Brand management

Advise leadership and programs on brand management and consistency.

Lead visual direction for 200+ projects across Takeda Oncology's six-brand portfolio. At Indivio, I also led our own brand refresh and design system.

Quality of media production

Responsible for the quality of video, photography, and podcast work.

Twenty years producing video, from concepts, scripts, and storyboards through finished animation, with audio production and sound design in my toolkit. I scripted, storyboarded, and animated a research video abstract that has 12,000 views on YouTube.

Content across channels

Develop print, digital, and video campaigns; adapt content for web, social, and signage.

Video and animation for national meetings, launches, and education. A journal cover redesign for Sage Publications, social media and outreach for Indivio, and print collateral and digital signage content at MGM Grand Detroit.

Website management

Oversee website content, navigation, and ongoing updates.

Design, navigation, writing, and ongoing updates for business, portfolio, and academic research lab websites, with hands-on experience in HTML, WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace.

Deadlines, budgets, and priorities

Prioritize projects, plan resources, and meet production deadlines.

600+ projects delivered at Indivio since 2014. With the studio principal, I develop estimates, allocate freelancer budgets, and track costs on video projects regularly budgeted at $40,000–$50,000.

Contractors and vendors

Hire and direct contract workers; manage vendor and agency relationships.

I bring in freelance creatives and direct their work: setting clear briefs, reviewing the work, and guiding projects through final delivery. I also coordinate with agency partners and broader project teams of 10–20 around client needs and production schedules.

Higher education

Communicate with higher education audiences.

An explainer-video series for ASU's Action Lab and Learning Analytics Hub, a university research lab's website and video abstract, a journal cover for Sage Publications, and conference video programming in development with UCLA. I live and work in Santa Barbara.

Working with leadership

Collaborate with leadership and program owners on priorities.

Co-running Indivio since 2014 means partnering with the studio principal on budgets and resources, and presenting and explaining recommendations to clients and agency partners throughout the process.

AI and automation

Partner with technical teams on marketing automation.

AI-assisted tools are already part of my production workflow. I would bring the brand and content side to that partnership and grow the analytics side alongside it.
